A pallet transfer machine moves a pallet carrying a product horizontally between two lines or two workstations. When a line runs in parallel, switches products, or transfers across lines, the transfer machine moves pallets automatically from line A to line B, with aligned positioning and a controlled cycle, instead of manual handling.
It works together with double-speed chain lines, turnaround conveyors and lifts to build a flexible line: the main line handles assembly while branch lines handle testing or aging, and pallets switch back and forth through the transfer machine. The pallet carries locating features so the next workstation can align and process directly without drift.
Three points matter in selection: stroke, or the distance between the two lines; load, or the combined weight of pallet and product; and cycle time, or how many seconds one transfer takes to keep up with the main line.
