Roller conveyors use several drive methods, and the poly-V roller conveyor is the one that runs fast and quiet, especially suited to high-speed, light-load conveying where noise matters.
Poly-V drive uses multiple wedge belts to drive the rollers together. Compared with chain drive and ordinary belt drive, the poly-V contact area is large — if one belt slips, the others hold it, so the drive runs smoothly without slipping. Roller speed can be high, lifting the whole line's conveying speed, fitting fast-cycle, high-volume sections.
Quietness is the poly-V roller conveyor's signature. Chain drive has the metallic clatter of links hitting each other, while poly-V is rubber, so the drive is smooth and far quieter. When a shop runs many lines, lower noise makes the work environment much more comfortable — especially in assembly and packaging areas that need to stay quiet.
Light load is its range. Poly-V suits conveying small and medium products of moderate weight, such as electronic parts, small appliances and cartons. For very heavy items, chains or heavy-duty rollers are more reliable. When choosing a poly-V roller conveyor, first confirm the per-item weight; only within its comfortable range will it be both fast and stable.
Maintenance is also easy. A worn belt is replaced singly without a full shutdown, and daily checks keep belt tension right. The poly-V roller conveyor is likewise customized — roller diameter, spacing, belt spec and line length all follow your product size and cycle.
